Chapter 8 Rasp-berry Rivers: Stage 1

As the group walked out of the Ginger Grasslands, and into the Raspberry Rivers, the ground started to look healthy again, green grass growing, beautiful shades of flowers, Kirby started to wonder; “why is the place called Nightmare-Land”, “The place is so beautiful…” Kirby said as if in a trance. “Yeah, what good it does us!” Kybir said as if irritated by Kirby’s remark. “What’s the matter?” Kirby asked innocently. “Sure it may look all beautiful, but the whole land is cursed!” Kybir yelled. “Okay…?” Kirby said, a bit weirded out.
The group came to a town. “Welcome to Waddle-town… #2012?” Meta Knight read from the sign in front of the town, “Yeah, there are thousands of towns that mayor’s named Waddle-town because of the population being only Waddles(Waddle-dee, Waddle-doo etc.), so then one mayor went like, “You can’t name your town that! My towns is already named that!”, then the other mayor went like, “Oh ya!? We’ll see about that!” Then they got in a small little word-fight, then the first mayor slugs the other, then the other picks up a brick, and then—“ Kybir was cut off, “Stop!” Meta Knight said annoyed. “Okay simply put, there where so many named the same so they decided to label them.” Kybir finished. “Well, we are low on supplies so we should visit the bakery, and restock.” Crispy said looking into they’re supply bag.
The bakery was a small building, which Kirby found disappointing. Kirby was about to walk in when Meta Knight stopped him. “Think Kirby, do we have any money?” Meta Knight brought up. “No…” Kybir replied. “Well do we have anything to sell?” Meta Knight asked. Everyone shrugged. “Wait! Kybir! The recipe!” Meta Knight called for. “B-b-b-b But what if we need it later!?” Kybir protested, “Ya, like where will we need it?” Meta Knight asked, “Well suppose we come across flour, sugar, milk, and cinnamon, and we don’t know what to do with it?” Kybir tried to suggest. “We’ll make Cinnamon-rolls, hand it over.” Meta Knight responded. Kybir reluctantly handed it over to Meta Knight. Meta Knight took the recipe and the bag, and went into the bakery. “WOW! WHERE DID YOU FIND THAT!? THAT IS THE GREATEST RECIPE IN THE UNIVERSE!” A voice from inside cried, Meta Knight came out with an over-full bag, and threw it to Crispy. “Let’s go.”

Chapter 9 Rasp-berry Rivers: Stage 2 Some-other Superstar

The group walked for hours, hours turned to days, days turned to weeks, and weeks turned to months, months turned to the years… just joking; it was just weeks. Their food supplies where almost gone. When they stopped for lunch, Kirby was torn by the following words. “Okay we are low on food, so we have to cut down on rations.” Crispy said looking through the bag, he handed each of them quarter of a loaf of bread. “I can’t eat like this!” Kirby in response. “Kirby settle down, if we cut down like this we should be able to make it to the next village without dying of starvation.” Sparky reasoned, to no avail. “But I’m dying already!” Kirby replied. “Kirby is right, we will not get that far if we cut down the rations this low” Meta-Knight said. “Misty, Sparky, you two go to that nearby forest, and try to find fruits, and edible plants.” Meta Knight said pointing to the near by woods, “Kybir, Crispy, you two will organize the remaining food.” Meta Knight said to them. “And Kirby, you go down to that lake and try to get some fish.” Meta Knight said to Kirby. “But I don’t like fish.” Kirby whined. Meta-Knight coldly smiled at Kirby from under his mask. “Oh Kirby, you will find fish to be very tasty when you are STARVING!” Meta Knight shouted. “Fine… One question, what are you doing?” Kirby asked Meta Knight. “I’m supervising.” Meta Knight said, lying back on a tree getting out of the sun.

Kirby was fishing, quite reluctantly. “Oh! I got a bite!” Kirby said as he pulled the recently hand made fishing rod. “Oh boy! This is going to be a big one!” Kirby continued to pull the rod, when he finally brought it up, he found it wasn’t a fish, and it was someone’s purse. He looked closely at the purse and found something tagged on the purse. “Kimmy Gourmet.” He read, “I wonder if that’s a kind of cake!” He said opening it hoping to find something to eat, but what he found was just very expensive jewelry. “What is this!?” Kirby said looking at the jewelry. Not soon after he heard a scream from the forest, “Oh! Someone is in trouble, it sounds like!” Kirby said hearing the scream, “I wonder if it has cake!?” Kirby said running of in the direction (Still holding the purse.).
Kirby saw a light purple, and fuchsia colored girl Superstar, with a flower where her ear would be, being surrounded by Gnaw-gnaws. Kirby ran over, hit away some of them, and eating the rest. “Are you okay?” Kirby asked the Superstar, the Superstar didn’t respond, because she was falling for Kirby! The Superstar was seemingly in a trance, “O-Oh! Yes! Yes I am okay.” She responded, “I have a question.” Kirby said, at that sentence, the Superstar instantly thought of all the possibilities, could this be the time that a boy would finally ask her out on a date? “Is this yours?” Kirby asked holding up the purse, her hopes fell, but she was happy that someone found her purse. “Y-yes!” She responded, “Oh, so you are, ‘Kimmy Gourmet’?” Kirby asked reading the name on the purse. “Yes, that’s me, Kimmy Gourmet, though you can call me just Kimmy.” Kimmy responded. “Okay.” Kirby said handing her the purse then he was about to walk off when he turned around and said, “Oh, I have another question.” Kimmy’s hopes rose, ‘Do you have any cake?” Kirby asked holding his stomach, the ground beneath Kimmy’s hope’s feet shattered, and her hopes fell down like a rock, into the deepest, darkest crevice you could think of, and it stayed there until it was forgotten about and buried. “N-no…” Kimmy responded disappointedly, “Oh! I have one more question.” Kirby said again, a rope was thrown down the crevice, and Kimmy’s hopes started climbing out of the crevice. “Do you want come fishing with me?” Kirby asked politely, a knife started cutting the rope. “Oh sure.” Kimmy said, she wasn’t asked on a date, but at least she was with Kirby.

Chapter 10 Rasp-berry Rivers: Stage 3 Fantasy Fable

“Okay! Here’s my idea!” Kirby said to Kimmy as he picked up a stick, and tyied the fishing-line around him. “You hang me over the water, and when a fish comes up, I will beat him with this stick!” Kirby finished. “Okay… But isn’t that kind of violent?” Kimmy asked. “Yeah, I guess so… Oh I know! I’ll suck up all the water and you get as many fish as possible.” Kirby replied, but before Kimmy could say anything Kirby was already started sucking. Kimmy shut her eyes and held onto the grass for dear life as Kirby started inhaling like a cyclone. She opened her eyes she saw Kirby; filled with water, “Rurry rup! Rai ran’t rold rit ruch ronger!” Kirby mumbled. Kimmy jumped down into the lake to pick up fish. Kirby couldn’t hold it any longer; he had to spit the water back. “Hey Kirby! I’m done!” Kimmy called as she came running back up, but she made a bad move. At that second Kirby spat the water out, pushing Kimmy away.

“Great work!” Meta Knight said as he and Kybir just finished making a fire. “I can’t believe Crispy caught a cold! Can you?” Kybir asked Meta Knight. “It did seem… kind of mysterious…. Do you hear that!?” Meta Knight asked. They turned to see a tidal wave coming right at them “AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!” They both screamed and hugged each other as Kybir tried to grab Crispy and the supplies and get the heck out of there. The water came gushing down, and Kimmy rolled by. Meta Knight and Kybir watched her go by. Soon Kirby came running over. “Oh boy! Wasn’t that huge?” Kirby asked them excitedly, his response where annoyed soaked faces(Mask). “Oh. Sorry about that Meta Knight.” Kirby said. Kimmy got up, she took of her flower, held it upside down and let the water come pouring out of it. “Well something good better happen soon or I’m going to lose it…!” Meta Knight said trying to stay sane. “Hey guys!” Sparky called running to camp. “While we where looking for stuff in the woods, we met this guy who said we can stay at his house for the night!” Sparky said upon reaching them.
The group came to a clearing in the woods and found a house in the middle of the clearing, “Oh! You mean Grandpa Sturdy?” Kimmy said upon seeing the house. An old grey Superstar with brown shoes and a long beard hanging off his face (so much he had to pick it up to run) was at the porch of the house when the group came over, “Oh! Kimmy! There you are!” Sturdy said hugging Kimmy. “Grandpa, this is Kirby.” Kimmy said pointing to Kirby. “Um hm.” Sturdy said as he examined Kirby. “Well, come on in!” Sturdy said invitingly while heading into the house.
“This soup is one of the healthiest dishes around.” Sturdy said giving them all bowls filled with soup. It was night; the moon was full. Sturdy started picking at the fire(in the fire place). “So… What brings you around these parts?” Sturdy asked the group. “We are in search of the shards of the Dream Star.” Kirby said simply. “Oh… The Dream Star, you know there is a story about it, and it goes like this.” Sturdy responded. “Many, many centuries ago, there was a Superstar, he was part of a gifted family, they could master the ways of magic very easily, most could do it from birth, so this one, I believe his name was… hm… Ah yes, his name was Orcery…” “Hey does anyone got any popcorn?” Kirby interrupted. Sturdy stared at him before continuing. “He was different from the rest of his family, he had much greater power, even greater then all of their’s put together, he used this power to help people, stop disputes, and such…” “You know I had an uncle once.” Kirby interrupted yet again. “Where was I… oh yes, he had great power, but he wanted more, he set out I search of a powerful artifact, he went from temple, to temple, to trash cans to find clues, until he was nearly 100 (and a half!) He finally found it; the lost city of Umaerd, in its temple, he found the Atus-Umaerd, he meant no harm in achieving the power, he just wanted to help people more, but when he took the Atus-Umaerd, its power was to strong, it maddened him to the bone…” Kirby once again interrupted “But it turned out to be an aunt.” Sturdy picked up his cane, “Watch it! This cane does more then just help me stand. Now then where was I? Oh yes. He couldn’t control him self, he went through the land, killing mercilessly what ever was in front of him, creating legions of monsters to take over the land, so a swordsman, his name was Bravery, brought together a band of people who where willing to risk there lives to stop Orcery, he called the group… oh yes! ‘The Crusaders of Dream-land!..” He was interrupted another time, but this time not by Kirby, surprisingly it was Meta Knight. “Why Dream-land, if this is Nightmare-land?” He asked, “Well you see, Nightmare-land was once called Dream-land, that’s why. Now then, back to the story. HE was so powerful he started ripping the dimensions apart, so the 5 heads of the mystical families came together to develop a way to stop him, they included, Mastery, (he was the father of Orcery,) and then there’s Calvary (he later started a rank of knights known as the Dream Knights), and there was also three brothers; Stormy, Burny, and Foggy, no one knows what happened to them after words, and last but not least there was Barney.”
“Barney!?” Everyone asked, “Yes, he was the jolliest of them, his 2 favorite things where eating, and sleeping. They work together to create a seal known as the Magis-Bounder, it was completed, but they needed someone to put it on the victim to work. Bravery volunteered for this. He and his crusaders went into battle with Orcery and his army, Bravery’s second in command was me, believe it or not…”
“How old are you?” Kirby interrupted, “That’s not important right now. Oh, I remember turning around just in time to see Bravery jump up face-to-face with Orcery and place that seal on his forehead, but sadly before the seal could take toll, he placed a curse on us, the Superstars, he said until the 3 stones are brought to the spot where he was sealed, the Superstar race would diminish… Even though Orcery was sealed, the dimensions where still breaking, so they took the Atus-Umaerd, and threw it into the gap between dimensions, and this became the power that keeps the dimension apart. A statue was made in honor of Bravery, you can see it today at the capital city Dreamius… They say the curse is true, and still lingers… and to this day, the Superstars are doomed to extinction until the curse is lifted... Good night kids! And don’t let the dust-bugs bite!” Sturdy said as he stepped into his bed room, leaving them to finish their soup and wonder about the story.
“There are Dust-Bugs in here?!” Sparky cried. Sturdy poked his head through the door. “They’re big.” He said before shutting the door. “How big?!” Sparky cried. The door opened once more as a large stick was tossed in, and at the end was carved ‘Dust-bug remover’. Everyone was a bit concerned.
“You kids get some sleep,” Meta Knights said. “I’ll stand guard the rest of the night.”

Chapter 11 Rasp-berry Rivers: Stage 4 Defiant Dee

King Dedede walked around pondering in his castle. “What to use my 3rd wish for?” Dedede said as he paced around. “Aha! I’ve got it! Gudae!” Dedede yelled. Gudae came from the floor like a phantom, then become solid. “What is it King Dedede?” Gudae asked. “Yes, I want—“ Dedede was pulled down by Bandana Dee. “Sire, I don’t think he should be trusted.” Bandana Dee reasoned. “And why would that be?” Dedede asked the Waddle Dee. “Well, you see ever since your last wishes, he’s become kind of… Mean looking.” Bandana Dee replied. Bandana Dee was right, two points of the star on Gudae’s crown where gone, one arm was larger then the other, his finger tips started to look like claws and his eyes where pointed and red. Dedede observed Gudae. “He doesn’t look that mean, it is probably just part of genie puberty.” Dedede guessed. Bandana Dee just stared at him. “He’s already a man…” Bandana Dee said. Gudae came over and put his arm around Dedede’s neck. “Bandana Dee, are you trying to destroy this great friendship, that me and Dedede have forged?” Gudae said trying to sound innocent. “Can it, slime ball!” Bandana Dee shot at Gudae. “I am not a slime ball. I am a Pisces, and please stop yelling because we are very sensitive.” Gudae replied as if trying to hold back tears. “Oh bother… It seems like we have a defiant dee…” Dedede said readying his hammer. “Well there is only one thing I can do then… Rather a pity…” Dedede said. He held up his hammer and clicked a button on the bottom of the handle. *Beep!* A large hulking suit of armor entered the room. Bandana Dee turned around and was shocked at its size. “Blade-0, please dispose of this ‘defiant dee’.” Dedede said to the hulk. “Dispose…” The hulk said as it picked up Bandana Dee. “Take him to… the chamber.” Dedede said to the hulk, “Negative…” It responded. “Why not!?” Dedede shot back. “There are multiple chambers in this structure…” It responded. “Okay, take him to DDD-0.5.” He ordered. “Negative…” It responded again. “What is it now!?” Dedede asked. “Subject is gone…” It responded. Dedede heard the door slam. He ran over to the door, opened it and saw Bandana Dee running down the hall. “Oh great! He now knows the location of the chamber!” Dedede said hitting his fist in his palm. “Oh!” He said in pain.

As the Superstars where asleep on the floor, Sturdy crept his door opened and looked around, he found Kimmy awake leaning on a wall. “O-oh boy, this is going to be fun.” Sturdy said to himself. “Hey Kimmy.” Sturdy whispered over to Kimmy, she got up on came over. “Okay Kimmy allow me to show you the proper ways to awaken different people.” Sturdy said when she was close enough. Sturdy crept over to Cripsy and Misty. “For the light sleeper.” Sturdy said to Kimmy. “He picked up an alarm clock of the nearby table and held it up to their ears. *Ting ting* it rang. Misty and Crispy darted up awake. He crept over to Meta Knight. “For the heavy sleeper.” He took out a horn and blew it in his ear. Meta Knight darted up. “Assume first Position!” he shouted as he saluted. He looked around and let an embarrassed groan.
Sturdy came to Kirby and Kybir. “For the stubborn sleeper, WAKE UP!!!!!!” He screamed in their ears. “What-what! I’m up!” Kirby and Kybir said as they darted up. “Hahahah! I love doing that!” Sturdy said holding as he held his stomach. They were served the same soup for breakfast. “Hey Meta Knight, when you are done, come over here.” Sturdy called to Meta Knight. Meta Knight finished his soup and went over to Sturdy. “What?” He asked. “Well judging by your appearance, I’d say you are a swordsman.” Sturdy said to him. “Yes, yes I am.” Meta Knight responded. “I noticed that you are short of a sword, so.” Sturdy said as he opened a chest. “I want to give you this.” He said taking a shining sword out of the chest. “It was mine when I fought for this land…” Sturdy said as Meta Knight examined it. “I have never used it since that day, so it should be in good condition…” Sturdy said to Meta Knight. “Thank you…” Meta Knight said putting it away in the scabbard that came with it. “It is a very trusty one. It is called Nightmare’s Bane, or Nightbane for short…” Sturdy said. “Well, we better get ready to set out.” Meta Knight said to the rest.

A giant door stood in front of Bandana Dee, he wasn’t sure what he was going to find… But he knew he wanted to know… Cautiously, he creaked open the door, and entered…

Chapter 12 Rasp-berry Rivers: Boss Battle(Kind of) Wailing Whale

“Okay, well there’s been this whale that has been terrorizing the western coast.” Sturdy said as he pointed in a direction. “That’s east.” Meta Knight replied. “Are you sure?” Sturdy asked. “Yes.” Meta Knight replied. “no it isn’t, it’s west,” Sturdy said. “Is Not.” Meta Knight replied. “Is so.” “Not.” “Is!” “Not!” “Is!” “Not!” The others started staring. “Never mind…” Sturdy said going back into his house. “Hey uncle! Can I go with them?” Kimmy asked Sturdy. “Well… No.” Sturdy said. “Why not?” Kimmy asked. “Well you see, um, err… Cause… Yeah! That! That’s why!” Sturdy answered. “What?” Kimmy asked. “Umm… Cause… Er… Umm… Alright, you can go. I mean it’s not like their going to fight an evil genie.” Sturdy said.

Who am I?! What am I?! What is my place in the universe?! Was the thoughts of a Waddle with a blue bandana as he was falling down from the sky. He soon remembered who he was, and the confusion was over. Now there was a new problem, how was he not going to go splat on the ground below? He unfastened the spear he kept on around his back, and held it above his head and started spinning it. Right before he hit the ground, his spear gained enough speed, and he hovered down. “Wooh! The was close! Now then… Where am I?” He said upon landing. Bandana Dee looked around the surroundings. He spotted a colorful group. There was a Pink, Yellow, Green, Blue, Red and a Purple it seemed puffballs marching along. “Wow! Don’t tell me that’s Kirby!” Bandana Dee said as he ran after them.
“So… How far is it?” Kirby asked Kybir. Kybir was holding the Dream Shard, and it was pointing toward the west. “Whaddya know, looks like we’re going to fight that whale.” Meta Knight said. “Hey! See that?!” Kirby said pointing in the south. Meta Knight focused eyes focused in the south. “That’s Bandana Dee!” He exclaimed. “He can’t catch us! RUN!” Kirby yelled darting off. “NO! Wait! *Huph* *Huh* *Huph* *huh* *huph*” Bandana Dee painted. “Oh great!” Bandana Dee said just arriving where they use to be.

The Group came to a beach. “Hrmm…” Kybir said. “It seems the shard is underwater… And it’s moving!” Kybir exclaimed. “What! Does that mean someone else already found it?!” Sparky asked. “I don’t know! But it’s moving fast, and it’s aiming… sweet mother of sugar! It’s coming right at us!!” Kybir yelled. “Everyone! Get out of here!” He yelled as he jumped away from the beach. Not long after a giant whale landed on the beach. It was dressed in a sailor’s uniform, with a pipe jumped from the water. “Fatty! Fatty Whale!?” Kirby exclaimed. Mrrmmmm! The beast groaned. “Come here ya big beast!” Crispy said running at Fatty Whale. He jumped up and hit Whaler on the side of his jaw with a fiery punch. Ohh! Oh! Ohman... Fatty Whale moaned. Crispy was about to go in for another hit, but was stopped by Kimmy. “Wait! Can’t you tell? It’s in pain…” Kimmy said. “Yeah! I just punched it with my Pyro Upper!” Crispy said warming up for another hit. “No! Before even that, I could hear it in pain when it ‘crashed’ here.” Kimmy said. “Um, guys.” Kybir said. “What?” Misty asked. “The Dream Shard says that… the shard is in the whale!” Kybir said. “What!? Don’t tell me we have to go in there?” Misty said shuddering. “Well it seems that way…” Kybir said. “Well! Thanks to Kirby for volunteering!” Misty said shoving Kirby forward. “But! I don’t like fish…” Kirby said.
Fatty Whale was passed out on the beach, belly up, with his mouth open, and his tongue hung out of the side. Meta Knight was on the edge of his mouth, holding a rope which led down into his mouth. On the end of the rope, was Kirby. “I don’t even like fish.” Kirby said with a humph. “Now then Kirby! If you see anything shining, that’s probably it! But be careful!” Meta Knight yelled down. “Yeah yeah!” Kirby said annoyed. “But, what if I find something else?” Kirby called up. “Well then you can keep it!” Meta Knight yelled down, annoyed of Kirby’s complaints.

“Okay! Pull me up!” Kirby called up. He was pulled up right away. “Okay! So you got it?” Kybir asked. Kirby was carrying a large pile of random items. “What’s all of this!?” Meta Knight asked. “You said I could take all I found, so, I took all this stuff.” Kirby said. “Look! This interesting sphere with a bolt like S on it,” Kirby said, and licked it. “It’s mine. This mushroom with a face.” He licked that. “It’s mine. This velvet painting of Elvis, I didn’t really want it… *lick* but, it’s mine.” Kirby said. “Okay, where’s the Shard?” Kybir asked annoyed. “Oh yeah, here” Kirby said as he threw the Shard over. Kybir jumped to grab it. “Perfect! We already have 2 Shards!” Kybir said. “So where’s the next one?” Kirby asked. “High-mountains?” Misty asked. “Volcano?” Crispy asked. “Factory?” Sparky asked. “No, all wrong… It seems that, the next one is… Also in the water!!!” Kybir said shocked. “And it’s so deep! I don’t think we could manage that far!” Kybir said. “Perhaps I can help you.” A voice said from behind.

Aaaa, this is looking pretty good. I haven't really had a chance to read it yet, but I'll put it on my todo list.
