Also guys, I'm pretty sure there's a 100% chance of no Kirby game at E3, since HAL is busy helping out Project Sora's team for Super Smash Bros. 4.

*LE GASP* Well, actually I'm not very surprised because of course SSB 4 is gonna be pretty big.

HAL's....not actually working on smash 4. They didn't work on Brawl either. Their company name is only on brawl because they own the name.

Even if they were, Hal has at least three separate teams at any given time - two of which work on games and the third of which works on using new hardware in games. For example, back on the N64, there was a team working on smash, one working on K64 and a third working on implementing gyroscope technology, which led to tilt and tumble. Hal's also the guys who made the e-reader, actually. Also the ones who made the original DS drawing engine used in games like canvas curse and pokemon rangers. And they made the camera/gyroscope combination on the 3ds, which is what face raiders was for.

For now, we've seen three games by three teams released around the same time (KMA, KRtDL, Face Raiders). Helping out with another smash on top of doing other stuff would not be difficult for them. Add that Iwata's making a Kirby-related announcement tonight and another Kirby game (or at least a remake) seems pretty likely.

Oh, I see. I always thought HAL was helping out with Smash Bros., but that makes sense.

Iwata is going to be hosting a Nintendo direct tonight, but isn't the only thing suggesting that there will be a Kirby announcement the fact that Japanese 3DS owners received a Swapnote from Iwata that had a picture of a Kirby plush? We'll find out soon, I guess.

I mean, a Kirby plush pictured in an announcement on Kirby's 20th anniversary? Even if it's not a game, I can't help but think it'll be Kirby related.

Even if HAL was busy, Good Feel hasn't announced anything recently, Retro is working on a secret project, there are plenty of other companies likely to get pulled into making a Kirby game; whether it was originally meant to be one or not. Don't forget that Kirby is Nintendo's go to guy for slapping a face on a game they don't think will sell otherwise.
