in sims, you chose your character from different body part designs. in video doll game, it can be something nobody can ever think of.
in sims, you get a choice of what to do from pre-set choices such as eat, open, hold and jump. in video doll game, you choices are limited to your mind.
in sims, they have tons of money to work with to make a spectacular game. in video doll game, nobody has any money, so it would be a horible, free project.
see? NOT. THE. SAME.
