Klonoa

Postby MelonBread975 » Thu Jul 05, 2012 4:41 pm

Earlier today I was looking through random videos on YouTube because of my boredom, and I found a really interesting video game called Klonoa. It's a 2.5D platformer and it looks really fun. The first game in the series is for PS1, there's a sequel for PS2, and there are a few on GameBoy Advance. There's also a Wii remake of the PS1 game, and you can see it in the video below.

Apparently it's an extremely underrated series and it hasn't sold very well. It looks fantastic.

I know Klonoa. I've seen many of his games but have played none of them.

I'd like to try the remake of the first game they had on the Wii.

I'd really like to try that Wii remake also. I'll try to pick it up ASAP.

Looks good. The main character reminds me a little bit of Sonic.

...Although, I feel like it would be better as a Banjo-Kazooie style game.

I've never played a Banjo-Kazooie game before, so I can't really say.
I think Klonoa works just fine as a platformer. IIRC the first Klonoa game started the 2.5D platforming genre.

I'm usually against piracy and emulation and the like, but I just downloaded Klonoa 2 to play on an emulator. I don't have a PS2 and there's no way Namco could really profit from buying the game used. It's really fun, and the game's art design is beautiful.

I'm going to try and buy the Klonoa remake on Wii for my birthday.

Kay, I finished Klonoa 2. The ending was actually pretty sad... It made me tear up a bit. Just a bit.

I enjoyed everything about the game. I give it a perfect score.
