E3 2012

Postby MelonBread975 » Sat Jan 07, 2012 8:03 pm

What is everyone looking forward to in E3 2012?
Personally, I am very excited for the Wii U. It will be interesting to see how Nintendo handles it, considering that they want to bring back their the core audience.

Haha yup, that Zelda demo had my mouth watering.
I also hope it supports Steam.

i'm not falling for it. Nintendo has softened up for the last years. i'd like them to be the hardcore powerhouse they were in the days of the NES and SNES, but that's probably not ever going to happen.

i'm hoping not many people go to E3 this year, since the ESA supports SOPA. if a lot of video game websites don't go there and don't cover E3, it will send a message.

Third party support is what will make them jump back into the hardcore audience. First party titles will still be what you'd expect from Nintendo.

Also, http://www.joystiq.com/2012/01/20/esa-w ... -for-sopa/

exactly. first party titles will always be amazing. not hardcore or difficult, but still amazing, because of the sheer nostalgia factor and creativeness.
3rd part support is a huge dealmaker/breaker. we'll see how they handle it. i'm still a bit disappointed that there's never going to be a zelda game without motion controls on consoles .

also, yay.

What are the chances of a new Kirby game being announced?

Also I think there's going to be a new Zelda at E3, for 3DS (most likely), Wii U, or both.
There also might be some new Super Smash Bros. stuff but the game only started development recently so I'm not expecting too much.

I seriously can't wait for E3. It's like Christmas morning.

Also I'm going to try to report about everything on the main site, although with only me it will be hard. Hopefully there will be some new writers by that time. I have summer school and marching band and video games to play during the summer and it really drains away all my free time...

Now that they've revealed a little bit on it, I'm super excited to see a trailer or gameplay from Assassin's Creed 3. The trailer from Revelations last year was just the coolest thing ever so I can't wait to see what they do this time.

I'm yet to get into Assassin's Creed, although I might pick up a few games later. It looks sweet.

I really didn't think I'd like them, but I got the second one used since it was like eleven bucks and now it's among my favorite game series. If you do try them, play ACII first. The first Assassin's Creed pretty much sucks by comparison...

Alrightly. It's $19.99 on Steam, I'll definitely download it for PC soon.

But yeah, they revealed the boxart and time period for ACIII and it's revolutionary war era, which is pretty much awesome.
